Welcome to My Dance Blog!

Hello and Welcome to my Dance blog.

This blog was created to introduce and bring the art of dance to life through technology!  Dance has been such an important part of my life since I was a young girl; Nonetheless, with school activities and work, it is hard to keep up with my passion for it.  This blog has given me the chance to express my love for tap, jazz, ballet and modern dance and display my favorite performances throughout the years.  This blog is targeted at men and women who are interested in dance and are looking to discuss the ins and outs of dance and the music and rhythm that accompanies it.

What is your favorite type of dance and what has your experience with this dance been, if any?  Please feel free to post any links to pictures, videos and other blogs that can relate to this one, as well!  Enjoy and Just Dance!

  1. I've also enjoyed the art of dance. I love all types of dances because they each have a unique style. Dance has provided a release for me in my experiences. It's unspoken word filled with many emotions. I think to be able to expess such thoughts with the body is incredible. The amount of creativity and ability dancers have is a talent that sometimes is overlooked.

  2. I was a dance major in college and am now a graduate student in the education department for dance education. Dance has been in my life since I was little and I always want it to be apart of my career no matter what. I love to watch all types of dances, but my favorite to teach is ballet and choreography. I love teaching ballet because there is always something for students to work on in this style, one can never stop learning. I enjoy teaching choreography because it is amazing to see the work and art being produced in the making, and then seeing the final result of the students artistry and hard work.

  3. I was wondering if you have any tips for people that feel rhythmically challenged and really uncomfortable when faced with the prospect of dancing. How do you encourage people who may not know how to dance? Great pictures, BTW!
